You want to be a team mom.

You must first learn what that truly entails.

Too often is it believed that team mothers do nothing beyond travel with players and offer snacks between innings. This assumption is incorrect, however. This can — naturally — be too much for some.

You intentions may need to be forgotten or even just reduced to a secondary role — with you offering help on occasion, willing to donate a few afternoons.

Don’t believe this position to be easy. Understand that it is instead a demand of energy and know if you have enough to give.

You begin to regale them with stories, pass out energy infused drinks and healthy snacks (their energy must be maintained, offered the necessary nutrition). You question them about statistics and plays. Every word becomes a distraction, stealing their attention from the rain and placing it purely on you.

And, when the storm finally settles, they’re able to take the field with confidence.

The notion of a team mom is often burdened to thoughts of bake sales and budgeting, the roster formations and mini-van shuttling. There is more to this, however, than simple organization. It is instead defined to support.

Team moms are responsible for the well-being of all players. They are to ensure that children are happy, healthy and without the dreaded scowls. They must entertain, amuse and distract — allowing all to gain the needed comfort, not be overwhelmed by the inevitable concerns. There is one certainty of sports: they will never be easy. It is essential for team mothers to expect the worst therefore and prepare for any situation.

And the minutes are slow as you dissect every frantic line, copy each into your journal. As you finish, though, you think this is not enough. You need more than mere names. You instead need details.

Team moms are defined by their abilities to overcome all concerns. They are to be prepared for any challenge. They are to have all answers. Along with each kind of formula you have different ingredients such as lactose free, hydrolyzed, milk fortifier, metabolic formulas and ones that are specifically for low birth rate babies or premature babies.

As you can see, there are so many different formulas available and not just brand names either. You can decide whether or not you want to use formula but if you do, these guidelines may be helpful in deciding what kind you want for your baby.

Honesty. It is important to teach your children that being honest is the best cause of action. They’ll know when you are not being honest and you should expect them to be honest as well.

Courage. Teaching your children to have courage is more important than it seems. Having the courage to say no to their peers or not follow the crowd is extremely important in every day life.

Self-reliance. Self-reliance is important because it teaches children to be responsible for what they do and not blame everything on others or depend on others to be there for them.

Self-discipline. This is important the same way courage is important; it teaches children to have the control over their own lives instead of their friends or others. This means that they can learn when to say no.

Fidelity. This is a good lesson for children to learn because it teaches them to stay true to their word. If they say they are going to do something or commit to something then they should follow through no matter what, unless there are extreme circumstances.

Mercy. This simply teaches children to be fair to others and that is something everyone could use a little more of.

Love. Teach them about love; about how important it is in the world and how it affects others in a positive way.

These guidelines on what to teach your children are perfect in helping ensure that your children are ready to treat others with respect while keeping their integrity in check and that’s always a good thing.

One way to get reviews that are more organic is to check out sites that sell the product and have an area for customer reviews. Don’t let a negative review fool you before you read about it. Some people will leave a bad review even if the product was fine. This can be in cases of the store they bought it giving them bad service or even shipping prices can influence a review. Be sure the read the bad reviews as well as the good ones to be sure it is a review that is based on the product and nothing else.

Many expectant mothers have an overnight bag packed before they even go to the hospital but have you thought about how you may not fit in the same clothes you could wear before you had your baby? It is a good idea to bring some clothes with you that are loose fitting and easy to wear. You may also be aware of what the weather is like when you get ready to head home since it can change so fast and you may need more or less clothing than you thought.

Your newborn doesn’t have to be overdressed for the trip home from the hospital. In fact, your baby may feel more comfortable in a simple t-shirt and blanket rather than a complicated outfit that has you tugging at your baby’s arms and legs just to get it on. If the weather is nippy outside you can opt for a snowsuit or just an extra blanket so that you baby is warm enough but there’s no need to overdress the baby unless you just want to take some adorable pictures of the hospital departure.

Most important, make sure the vehicle you are leaving in is all ready for your baby by having a car seat installed. Even though everyone knows you have to have a car seat, the trip to the hospital can be frantic at times and not everyone remembers to install the car seat before the baby is born. If you have to, have someone run get the car seat and install it before you’re ready to leave the hospital so no one has to wait.

If you follow these guidelines your baby will be home safe and sound in no time at all.

Things may be hectic the first week with guests stopping by to see the newborn, learning to cope with a different feeding and sleeping schedule and having a feeling of being overwhelmed. It can be a good idea to get any major things that have to be done finished before the baby plans to come home. This can include house repairs, shopping and tasks around the house. These things have to be done but it can be best not to try to tackle them the first week your baby is home.

This can be a good time to take advantage of take out food since things can be a little too frazzled to cook a big dinner. If you have family and friends that want to help, by all means take advantage of their offer. A family member bringing over a home cooked meal can be a Godsend in helping you out or taking some of the load off of your shoulders. You do want to keep in mind that if their are personality issues with anyone that having them over during that first week after your baby comes home can be more stressful than having no one at all. So if you have issues with your mother or mother in law and they offer to help, think carefully about whether or not you want to take the risk.

Last but not least, don’t worry about your house being in perfect condition because it’s understandable that you’ll have more things to worry about than picking up the laundry or vacuuming the carpet.

Babies that are just born are used to a very different environment that your home. There are new sights and sounds and your baby may respond by crying – constantly. This doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with your baby but it can be a little unnerving to listen to for hours on end. If you are breastfeeding as well, it can be a long first night because you may not get the sleep that you need. Keep in mind that your sleep is very important so if you do have help such as a spouse or family member, try to take advantage of their help because a rested mother is one that is healthier and happier.

Make sure you have swaddling clothes available that first night because your baby is used to this and how it felt while inside of your body so in order to make them feel comfortable and secure they will need these items. Also, you may want to have a low light available so if you need to check on your baby, change its diaper or feed it, the bright lights won’t disturb it quite as bad. A small night light can be perfect for this because you can see your baby but it won’t be so bright on its newborn eyes.

The first night may be a little harrowing but you’ll get through it in no time and be ready to tackle the rest of its life.

Obviously there are criteria that determines whether you are qualified or not. One of the musts is a blog that you write on frequently. If you are already a mommy blogger then you have that part covered most likely. Your writing style is another way that they determine whether to accept you are not but if your blog is written with good grammer, decent content and something that people like to read then you at least have your foot in the door.

There are certain rules like having to post within two weeks after getting the product and disclosing that you receieved a product for free but if you already run a blog then you’re pretty familiar with everything that has to be done so why not apply for a spot?
